Kudos For Mom!

I am putting up this post to contain all the well wishes and congrats for my Mom.   She is doing fantastic at quitting smoking.   We are on Day 2 and she's had a total of 3 cigarettes so far.   She has a patch but does take it off to smoke.   However, that's only been for THREE cigarettes!   When things were really really stressed, she was on as much as 4 packs a day.   Dad is quitting too and I am proud of him as well, but he never reads the blog.      LOL       So I would LOVE it if you would put a message for her in the comments.   :)

  2. Hi Momma Meda ~ I know it must be incredibly hard to give up the smoking habit, but when it gets tough, just take a long look at Shellie and TJ. They love you so much and need you in their lives for as long as possible. I've lost a few family members who were longtime smokers and it hurts to think they might still be here "if only" . . . So proud of your efforts. One minute, one hour, one day at a time! Hang tough! ~ Skirts From That Other Blog

  3. Hi Shellie's Mom and Dad- I am so happy that you are quitting smoking- that's the best thing you can do for your health! Without going into too much depressing details, I have lost my mother to lung cancer and unfortunately my M-I-L is losing her battle to it right now. I had to tell my kids tonite that she is not doing well (hospice has been called in) and we need to make a trip to say goodbye, we live 500 miles away.

I know you want to be there to see TJ grow up and see what his future holds for him, stay strong and I will be praying for all of you!

  4. Hi Shellie's Mom:

I do not know you but I am so proud of your effort to quit smoking. That takes a strong will for sure. I know you can do this and you will benefit from it in the future. My mother-in-law was ordered to quit smoking when she found she had to have a triple bypass. You keep up the good work. I KNOW this is hard but you can do it!

    You have my good thoughts.
