I know, I know, LOOOOOOOOONG time no blog. I have been so busy this year with TJ and his schooling. We have had a few health things going on as well. Mom and Dad are still smoking but they have ONE pack between the two of them. That is progress. I am hoping I hear them say SOON, "We are quitting on such and such day."
Poor TJ is having a really hard time this year, things are a lot more complicated in 10th grade. This might be the year of the official IEP. They were going to spread his classes out more but California doesn't allow it! That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. So we just keep plugging along and his grades drop a bit. He still has straight A's, but I don't think they will remain that way all this year. I keep telling him that he just needs to do his best and not worry about what the grade is exactly.
Dad is having a rough time with his sugars right now, too many fasting lab tests and other tests that made it so he wasn't supposed to eat. Now the fun part, we have days of crankiness before we can get them under control again.
Mom is having a rough time with her IBS, etc. Its all in an uproar right now so she is pretty much always in pain. Hopefully it will settle down again soon.
I have bought a BUNCH of new patterns that I thought I would share. If anyone is interested in something from one, just send me an e-mail or tell me on MWOP! You can also convo me from my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/ShellieB. Don't forget, these things can be made in other colors, we'll work out the cost of them together. :)
I will try not to take so long to post next time, TJ and I have to start up our Lego's again!

We procrastinated some and spend some time waiting for parts, but its now complete. I have really enjoyed this time with my son and am looking forward to our next build. The LOTR set has a third of the pieces so it will be done fairly quickly and we can get to our Christmas set. When I was not sure TJ was having fun, we would stop for a day or two and he would flop down on the couch beside me, saying, "Legos?"

I am putting up this post to contain all the well wishes and congrats for my Mom. She is doing fantastic at quitting smoking. We are on Day 2 and she's had a total of 3 cigarettes so far. She has a patch but does take it off to smoke. However, that's only been for THREE cigarettes! When things were really really stressed, she was on as much as 4 packs a day. Dad is quitting too and I am proud of him as well, but he never reads the blog. LOL So I would LOVE it if you would put a message for her in the comments. :)

I know, I said I wouldn't take a long time again but I blew it. Finally, TJ and I started building again last night and we have about three night's left! I have to say, this model is really getting heavy. After this one we have a Lord of the Rings model that should be nothing at 400 some pieces. Then we have another biggie with a winter cottage that I picked out for a Christmas decoration. And in some awesome news, Mom is on her SECOND day of nicotine patches!!!!!!
But that is not what you guys came for! So here are the pics of our latest build. We have the camper top down and as you can see, it does pop up and down.

Actually, we got them in the mail about four days ago but we haven't had time to build! I have been hopping keeping up with my recovering aunt, Mom, Dad, TJ, two dogs and two rabbits. So I finally made time yesterday morning and we got some more done. We are building tonight as well but I am not sure it will get posted until tomorrow.

We have to take a break from the van and start TJ's LOTR set. Turns out we are missing two pieces from our van! I ordered it from Lego but I am not sure when it will arrive. So this is the last post for a bit. But don't worry, as soon as the part gets here, we will be starting again.

I am running out of ideas for titles. LOL We are starting to put the structural details on the van so that its a bit more sturdy. I will be glad since poor TJ knocks off Legos just by touching it. LOL We now have all the side windows and tomorrow night the back door will be in place. I have my eye on a haunted Mansion for October!

Well, today we finished up to the roof on one side of the bus and got the windows in. It looks like the windows for the other side will be tomorrow. I am not sure, but I think that is a fireplace with a mirror on the side of it. It will have a painting over it when its done. But what really kills me is the package I opened today had teeny tiny curtains made out of fabric. TJ and I have decided to do the Pet Shop after this and his LoTR set. That will give him a bit more practice before we tackle the London Bridge. We also have our eye on a train and the Fire Station.

Yeah, yeah, I know we took two days off. I got lazy! But TJ asked me today if we were ever going to get started again and I remembered why I started this. We now have a driver's door, passenger door, front seat and steering wheel. We finished Book 1 and into Book 2. It looks like we are halfway up the side of the van.
